One Month Old

Mary Addison,
How are you already one month old? It seems like we just brought you home yesterday. You are growing so quickly and changing every single day! You are already taking 4 oz of formula in your bottles and starting to really fill out! The consensus seems to be that you look like your daddy. You are more alert now and starting to recognize our voices when we talk to you. You started sleeping in your big girl bed when you were only two weeks old! We are so proud that you are already such a good sleeper - you must know that your mommy and daddy really love to sleep too! . Mommy loves spending every day with you and really dreads when she has to go back to work.
I could just sit and talk to you and hold you all day (and some days that is what we do :)! You love your swing, your paci, and you even love to take naps swaddled in your crib! You love when mommy reads you night time stories and lets you listen to lullabyes on Pandora! Daddy thinks you like to watch Duck Commander but I tried to tell him you would rather watch the Style channel or E! ;). Bath time is not your favorite but you are starting to enjoy it a little bit more. You also aren't too crazy about tummy time yet- you prefer to just go to sleep.
When we brought you home you were in preemie clothes (even though you weighed 7lbs 3oz) but you quickly outgrew those and then your newborn clothes too! You are now in 0-3 months right, although some of them are still a little big. Mommy LOVES shopping for you and can't wait to be able to take you shopping with me. You have had a busy month and lots of visitors have come to meet you!
Your grandparents and great grandparents are all crazy about you and they love to buy you things! You also finally got to meet your big sister Maddie! We were worried she may be jealous of you but she seems to love you just as much as we do, and you seem to like her too! We can not wait to see all of the new things you learn to do and what the next months hold for you. Football season is coming up and daddy can't wait to take you to The Grove. I told him you're too little and will have to wait until next year, but in the mean time you have lots of cute Ole Miss gear to wear around the house and cheer for the Rebs in!

Welcome to The World

On July 19, 2012 our world was forever changed for the better.  Dr. Webb had finally agreed to induce me on this day since I was 39 weeks and he was on call anyway. We had to be at the hospital at 6:00 am that morning. We filled out paper work and got settled into our room. The rest was a world wind, and before we knew it Mary Addison had made her grand debut. I had a very quick and easy labor with the exception of my epidural (that is a whole post in itself!). My water was broke around 8:00 am, I started pushing around 12:30 and Mary Addison was born at 1:27 pm. I was prepared for it to be a very long day as everyone had told us that for most people the first baby takes the longest and that it could be later that night before she arrived. We were thankful that was not the case for us! Mary Addison weighed 7lbs 3 oz and was 18.5 inches long at birth.

We were all pretty smitten from the beginning............

Mary Addison's Nursery

Before we ever knew boy or girl I could not wait to get started working on the nursery! I spent many hours on pinterest and other websites trying to get an idea of what I wanted the nursery to look like. I knew that I wanted it to be very neutral- boy or girl. Quickly after we found out for sure that Mary Addison was indeed a girl we began to work on the nursery. I knew that there had to be pink involved and that there MUST be a chandelier! Anyone who knows me knows that I have a hard time making decisions! Deciding on the furniture and paint colors was by far the hardest part! We may or may not have drove to Woodland, MS twice in one day only to buy nothing either time :) I am very pleased with how the nursery turned out and it is definitely fit for a princess :) I was not the only one who put in lots of time in the nursery. I had lots of help thanks to Mary Addison's Daddy, Poppy, Honey, Gran, and Uncle Clay!

Showered with Love

Mary Addison was very fortunate to be given three baby showers before her arrival. She was all set with everything she could ever need way before her arrival.

The first shower was given as a "surprise" to me by my sweet 4th grade class. I had an extra special class this year that was full of sweet kiddos! These students worked very hard to make my shower extra special for me and Mary Addison. I received lots of neat gifts at this shower that always remind me of my students when I use them.

My second shower was given at work by my 4th grade coworkers. It was special because it was also for Emma Claire and Lyla as well! Thanks to Tabbie, Merrie, Rose Anne and Celeste for making this shower extra special for all of us!

Mary Addison's final shower was given by Aunt Lauren, Aunt Lane and Aunt Erin! It was at Yummy Yogurt and these girls really outdid themselves! Mary Addison received lots of cute things! Her favorite color is sure to be PINK!

We were so thankful and appreciative to all the people who "showered" Mary Addison with love before she was even here!

Tickled Pink..

Well I haven't blogged in quiet some time, but I figure now I have something that is worth blogging about. We are expecting a sweet little girl! We are overjoyed and can not wait until July for her to make her arrival! Other than the first few weeks of pregnancy it hasn't been so bad so far! Time seems to be flying by..
